Richard is currently a partner of the national law firm, Minter Ellison. He is the former national head of Minter Ellison’s Human Resources & Industrial Relations Division and has practised in all aspects of employment and industrial relations law for over 25 years. He acts for employer interests in the telecommunications, road transport, insurance, stevedoring, banking, education, state and local government, retail, electrical power, printing and publishing industries.
He is recognised as a leading practitioner in employment and industrial relations in publications including; Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2007-2010); Who’s Who Legal – The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers (Management Labour & Employment) (2007-2010) and Chambers Global (2008 – 2010). He was named in the AFR Best Lawyers Guide in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Prior to commencing his legal career Richard worked for several years in Human Resources management and as a secondary school teacher.
He is married with three children and lives in Melbourne.
His interests include reading, travel, mountain bike riding, painting and AFL football.
