Adara Development has today announced the appointment of senior businesswoman, Ms Sheila Brown, to its Bermuda board. Ms Brown joins a highly regarded group of directors and trustees globally, whose experience spans the business, not-for-profit and philanthropic worlds.
Ms Brown was formally the Senior Vice President of Investment Services at Butterfield Bank in Bermuda where she served for 13 years. During this tenure, she simultaneously acted as Manager, Butterfield Trust for four years.
Before joining Butterfield, Ms Brown worked at Bermuda Commercial Bank (BCB) for five years as General Manager, Global Custody. Prior to BCB, Ms Brown worked at Fidelity International Limited, starting her career as Assistant on the Trading Desk and working her way up to Manager, Trading Desk and Manager, Portfolio Administration.
Ms Brown has served as Director of 10 Government Boards spanning 30 years, including Bermuda Small Business Corporation, Bermuda College, Education Appeals, Bermuda Land Development Corporation. She has also served as a Director of the Bermuda Stock Exchange and the Bermuda Depositors Insurance Board.
