Tom Dickson is a former Director of Adara Development (USA).
Tom is Founder and CEO of Meetinghouse LLC, a private firm specializing in investment management for insurance, reinsurance and structured credit markets and providing advice and management support to banks, insurers, reinsurers and investment firms on capital planning, ratings management, underwriting and investing. Meetinghouse LLC currently manages $100 million of assets. Tom is currently President and CEO of Haverford Capital Partners (HCP), a private equity fund specializing in insurance and specialty finance, and Meetinghouse Funding LLC/Funding II LLC, special purpose investment vehicles. HCP is a founding investor of Flagstone Re (NYSE:FSR) and Ability Re as well as the major capital provider for BridgeFunds. In these roles, Tom serves on the boards of Ability Re and Flagstone Re where he is Chairman of the Underwriting committee and a member of the Audit committee.
Prior to forming Meetinghouse, Tom served as President and CEO and Chief Underwriting Officer of the Centre Group, an international insurance and reinsurance group with approximately $1 billion in surplus and $9 billion in assets. He joined the Centre Group at the time of its establishment in 1988 and, prior to assuming responsibilities as Chief Underwriting Officer, served in a variety of business production and underwriting capacities in Bermuda and New York. Prior to joining Centre, Tom held underwriting positions at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in Washington, D.C.
Tom graduated with honours from Stanford University and received a Master’s degree from John Hopkins University (SAIS). He remains very active in the community and with Stanford where he has served as co-Chair of Class Reunion Campaigns, serves on the Board of the Stanford Rugby Endowment and has been an assistant coach for Men’s Rugby.
